Your Majesties, May your reign be long and glorious, and may your kingdom ever prosper during your reign and those of your heirs!
We write today to inform you of our intent to submit our names as candidates for Baron and Baroness of the Barony of the Roaring Wastes, for consideration by the populace of the barony, and Your Majesties as replacements for Their Excellencies, Louis and Sadb, on the occasion of their stepping down from their position as Baron and Baroness, in accordance with law and custom of the Middle Kingdom and of our beloved barony.
Together, we have a combined 88 years of experience in the SCA. If Their Majesties see fit to call upon us to serve as Baron and Baroness, we would like to use our positions to encourage music, arts and sciences, and baronial projects to inspire a sense of baronial community that would welcome new people into our barony, and encourage the marital arts so that we might provide warriors to defend the Middle Kingdom in case of war, and to keep our reputation as a barony that has fun.
